Distractive is seeking a talented Content Writer to join our growing team and create compelling content for our Web3 clients. Working closely with our Content Marketing Manager, you’ll be responsible for transforming complex Web3 concepts into clear, engaging content that resonates with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Distractive is a full-service marketing agency specializing in emerging Web3 ecosystems. We are a core contributor to Polkadot, where we serve as the de facto marketing department, and also provide marketing services to other blockchain-based technology projects. Polkadot will be the core account for this role, though we will likely cycle in some new clients next year.

Responsibilities:

Write clear, engaging content from briefs for multiple formats, including:
- Blog posts and thought leadership pieces
- Website copy and landing pages
- Case studies and success stories
- Email newsletters and ad campaign copy
- Video scripts
Adapt writing style and tone for different audience segments, from developers to enterprise decision-makers
Research complex technical topics and translate them into accessible content
Maintain consistent voice and style across all client materials
Review and refine drafts based on stakeholder feedback
Proofread and edit content for clarity, accuracy, and brand alignment
Meet regular content deadlines while maintaining high quality standards

Requirements:

3+ years of experience writing content for technology companies, preferably Web3
Exceptional writing and editing skills with a strong portfolio of published work
Ability to write both long-form and short-form content effectively
Ability to work from content briefs to create compelling, SEO-optimized content that aligns with broader marketing strategies and campaign objectives, including understanding of topics, themes, and distribution channels
Curious mindset, eager to explore new ideas, and capable of translating new trends into interesting and accessible content
Strong research skills and attention to detail
Experience writing for different audience segments
Excellent grasp of grammar, punctuation, and style
Organized work style, ability to work independently while meeting deadlines
Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills–both written and verbal
A strong sense of collegiality and a good sense of humor

Nice to Have:

Familiarity with SEO best practices
Familiarity with the Polkadot ecosystem
Familiarity with various content management systems
Experience creating content for Discord or Telegram communities
Previous work with distributed or remote teams
